What is Cake Smash Photography?
There still may be some of you wondering, what is this cake smash? “Smash the Cake” is a semi-new trend involving a baby, a cake, and no rules. Cake smashes are growing in popularity – and they’re a lot of fun for everyone involved. These photo sessions create awesome, one-of-a-kind memories for parents and their children to look back on. This playful and fun photography session is traditionally done to celebrate your child’s first year by giving them their first taste of CAKE while taking the best pictures of it! There’s something really adorable about smash cake photos, you can’t help but smile seeing a baby squish and squash a beautifully decorated cake. Their big eyes looking at you like, “Really?! It’s okay to do this?!”
What to Expect
Expect to have a laugh. Babies are highly unpredictable. Sometimes they dive right into that cake and other times we actually have to trick them into eating it!

We have two options for our cake smash sessions. Our most popular is a full studio session, which will include family photos, and other stylized baby photos. Another popular option is our 15-minute mini session, which is the perfect amount of time for a quick cake smash. Choose what’s best for you and your needs.
