Senior Photography Policies, Procedures, and Model Release Form
- Rescheduling: For your convenience here is our rescheduling policy for all non-emergent rescheduling:
- 15 plus days before your photoshoot, there is no fee to reschedule.
- Within two calendar weeks of your scheduled appointment, there is a small fee of $50. (We are unlikely to be able to put someone else into that appointment time.) We collect this before scheduling a new time.
- Not showing up for your scheduled appointment is the same as forfeiting your session fee.
- We ask that you set the next appointment when you call to reschedule.
Additionally, rescheduling causes a lot of juggling at the studio. It is not as simple as moving something on the calendar. We know scheduling is tricky for all of us. We suggest you think of your appointment as set in stone once you make it. Preparing in advance for the session also makes rescheduling less tempting.
- Refunds Policy: Session fees are non-refundable.
- Cancelation Policy: Canceling means that after booking your session, paying the session fee, and all that comes with that process, you’ve changed your mind and you will no longer be doing the session at all. It also means that it wasn’t due to some unforeseen emergency. Our cancelation policy is for all non-emergent canceling:
- 15 plus days before your photo shoot, there is a 75% refund.
- Within two weeks of your scheduled appointment, there is a 50% refund on any fees paid (We are unlikely to be able to put someone else into that appointment time.)
- Within 48 hours of your session, there is a 25% refund on any fees paid.
- Not showing up for your scheduled appointment (a no-show) is the same as forfeiting your session fee or deposit whichever the case may be.
For Medical Emergencies please provide documentation of the emergency to avoid fees.
Additional information: In addition to the resources it takes to schedule your session, it takes even more resources to reverse your scheduled booking. There are also credit card fees to charge your session fee, and credit card fees to return your session fee. The closer we are to your booked session when you cancel, the less likely we are to be able to re-book that time with another client. It is not our goal to profit from your cancelation, only to not lose by doing so. Thank you for your understanding.
- Yearbook Deadlines: Picture Deadlines are set by the school’s yearbook company. In order to meet the yearbook printing deadline, all Big Reveal Ordering Sessions must be completed one week before school starts in August. If you are doing your Big Reveal Ordering Session in August you can expect a 6 to 8-week turnaround time on your order. The most popular dates will book up first. This is why we recommend you book your Big Reveal Ordering Session at the same time as you book your photo shoot.
- Incurring Fees: Standard retouching is included. There are fees for some retouching requests. You can discuss retouching options with our team during your ordering session. If you require something to be shipped, there will a shipping and handling fee based on the size and weight of the item(s).
- Model Release: This is what makes it possible for us to show off our work to the world! For that reason, we ask you allow us to show yours if we choose. By signing, you agree to allow us to do just that; share your image on our website, social media, or display. If you would like to opt-out, please make sure to let us know. *This means we will not include your best images in the schools special photo app, end-of-the-year presentation, social media, or our website.

Sideline Support: A Parents’ Role in the Senior Session
How can parents help? At Little’s, we love when the parents come to the studio with their senior. They can be there for all the excitement and the in-between help. But the majority of the time it’s better for the senior if the parents hang out in our main lobby and watch the session on our webcam. It’s a great way to be a part of the experience without unintentionally interfering.
Why, you ask? Parents are helpful to get their senior there but then when they try to be helpful during the session it almost always backfires. You might be thinking, “Well I can go in and just not try to help.” No, you probably can’t. Almost no one can do this. It’s too tempting to jump in and try to help.
Take it from the pros. Watch from a distance and let the magic happen.
Inclement Weather Policy
Everyone, and we mean everyone, who has an outdoor session scheduled worries about the weather on their photo shoot day. After decades of photographing people we have learned to keep the appointment. The vast majority of the time the weather works out and we are able to do the photo shoot. With the help of photoshop we can also turn those grey skies blue. If we arrive at the scheduled shoot and determine the weather is too bad to proceed (rain or heavy wind) then we will officially cancel the shoot. At that point we can discuss what to do next. Reschedule, move in to the studio or indoors, or Cancel if no other option works. If we get weathered out, we will refund 50% of whatever fees had been collected at that time.
Image Retention Policy

- Access to Images: During the retention period, clients can request access to their images for viewing, ordering additional prints, or downloading purposes, subject to the terms outlined in our service agreement.
- Backup and Security: We do our best to securely store images as an added courtesy. However, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged images after the first delivery of ordered images.
- After the Retention Period: Once the retention period expires, images may be deleted from our systems without further notice.
- Special Requests: If you require an extension of the retention period or have specific needs regarding your images, please discuss this with us in advance. We’re committed to accommodating our clients’ needs wherever possible.
